Lumora Luxe — Community & Acceptable Use Standards
Effective Date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] Last Updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
1. Our Standard
Lumora Luxe (the "Company," "we," "us") is a by-invitation house built on trust. Our Members and the independent Professionals who serve them share a space that depends on mutual respect, safety, honesty, and discretion. These Community & Acceptable Use Standards (the "Standards") describe the conduct we expect of everyone who uses the Platform, and how we uphold it.
These Standards are part of, and incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. Where these Standards and the Terms address the same subject, the Terms govern the legal relationship; these Standards govern conduct and enforcement. Nothing here alters the Company's role as a technology platform and payment facilitator — we do not perform the Services, and Professionals remain independent contractors solely responsible for their work.
We hold everyone to a single, luminous standard of conduct. Meeting it is a condition of remaining part of the community.
2. Who These Standards Apply To
These Standards apply to all Users — Members and Professionals alike — in every interaction connected to the Platform, whether online (profiles, messages, reviews) or in person (at a mobile visit or in-office appointment). They apply from the moment an invitation is accepted and continue for the duration of your relationship with the Platform.
3. Shared Commitments
Every member of this community agrees to:
- Respect. Treat others with courtesy, dignity, and professionalism, regardless of role. Disagreement is fine; disrespect is not.
- Safety. Never place another person's physical or emotional safety at risk. Prioritize safe conditions, honest disclosure, and sound judgment.
- Honesty. Be truthful in your identity, your listings, your representations, your reviews, and your dealings. Do not deceive, mislead, or misrepresent.
- Non-discrimination. Do not discriminate against or refuse to deal with any person on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, pregnancy, medical condition, marital or family status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Professionals may decline services that fall outside their competence, licensure, scope, or safety limits — that is not discrimination.
- Integrity of the Platform. Keep bookings, communications, and payments on the Platform. Do not attempt to circumvent our systems or our fees.
- Discretion. Honor the privacy and confidentiality of those you interact with. What is shared in the course of a service stays private.
4. Expectations for Members
As a Member, you agree to:
- Communicate honestly and promptly. Provide accurate booking details and a correct, complete service location. Respond to reasonable messages in good faith. Disclose in advance anything relevant to the safety or suitability of a Service (for example, allergies or sensitivities).
- Provide a safe, respectful environment. Ensure a Professional can perform the Service safely and professionally. Do not subject a Professional to unsafe conditions, intoxication-related risk, aggression, or inappropriate requests.
- Respect boundaries. A Professional's role is strictly professional. Requests for sexual services, or any conduct that sexualizes, harasses, or demeans a Professional, are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and, where warranted, referral to authorities.
- Honor your bookings. Keep appointments, cancel within the disclosed window when plans change, and be present and reachable for confirmed mobile visits. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect your standing.
- Pay through the Platform. Complete all payments — including Deposits, fees, and any lawful cancellation or no-show charges — through the Platform. Do not solicit or arrange off-Platform payment (see Section 8).
- Review honestly. Base reviews on genuine, first-hand experience. Do not post retaliatory, deceptive, defamatory, or incentivized reviews.
- Handle disputes constructively. If something goes wrong, raise it respectfully with the Professional and, if needed, with our Trust & Safety team, rather than through abuse or threats.
5. Expectations for Professionals
As an independent Professional, you agree to uphold the standards of your craft and profession, including:
- Licensure and scope. Hold and maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance, and perform only Services within your lawful scope of practice and competence. Never offer or perform medical services or anything outside the non-medical scope described in the Terms.
- Truthful listings. Represent your credentials, experience, services, and pricing accurately. Do not overstate qualifications or use misleading imagery, including deceptive before/after content.
- Hygiene and sanitation. Follow applicable sanitation, sterilization, and infection-control requirements for your discipline. Use clean, properly maintained tools and, where appropriate, single-use or properly disinfected implements. Maintain personal and workstation cleanliness. Use products safely and as intended, and honor Members' disclosed sensitivities and allergies.
- Professionalism and punctuality. Arrive on time and prepared, communicate clearly, and conduct yourself courteously. If you must cancel or run late, notify the Member promptly through the Platform.
- Boundaries and consent. Maintain strictly professional boundaries. Obtain the Member's consent before any part of a Service. Never engage in, request, or tolerate sexual conduct, harassment, or unwelcome contact. Respect a Member's right to pause or stop a Service.
- Safety and duty of care. Perform Services safely, halt any Service that cannot be performed safely, and advise a Member to seek medical attention if a reaction or condition warrants it. Carry out appropriate patch tests or consultations where customary for the Service.
- Privacy and discretion. Keep Member information, home details, and anything observed in the course of a Service strictly confidential. Do not photograph a Member or their space without explicit consent.
- Payment integrity. Accept payment for Platform-sourced work only through the Platform. Do not solicit off-Platform bookings or payments from Members you meet through Lumora Luxe (see Section 8).
6. Home and Mobile-Visit Safety
Mobile Services take place in Members' homes, hotels, offices, and other private spaces. Both parties share responsibility for a safe visit.
For Members hosting a visit:
- Provide accurate location and access details and a safe, clean, well-lit space appropriate for the Service.
- Secure pets, remove hazards, and ensure a reasonable, professional environment.
- Do not be impaired in a way that compromises safety, and do not have others present who create an unsafe or inappropriate environment.
- Respect that a Professional may decline to begin or may end a visit that feels unsafe or inappropriate.
For Professionals attending a visit:
- Confirm the appointment and location through the Platform, and keep communications on-Platform.
- Bring proper, sanitary equipment and conduct yourself professionally at all times.
- Trust your judgment: you may decline to begin or may leave a visit if conditions are unsafe, and you should report the circumstances to us.
- Never expand the Service beyond what was booked and consented to.
For everyone: Keep booking and location information private. If you ever feel unsafe or witness a threat to safety, remove yourself from the situation and, in an emergency, contact local emergency services first, then notify us.
7. Non-Discrimination, Anti-Harassment, and Anti-Retaliation
We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind. Prohibited conduct includes: slurs or demeaning remarks about protected characteristics; sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or requests for sexual services; threats, intimidation, stalking, or bullying; and any conduct that a reasonable person would find hostile, degrading, or unsafe. We also prohibit retaliation against anyone who reports a concern or participates in an investigation in good faith.
8. Payment Integrity — No Off-Platform Circumvention
Keeping bookings and payments on the Platform protects everyone — it preserves the record, the protections, and the trust that make this community work. You agree not to:
- Solicit, arrange, or accept payment outside the Platform for Services first introduced or arranged through Lumora Luxe;
- Encourage or pressure another User to book or pay off-Platform, or to cancel a Platform booking in order to transact privately;
- Share contact or payment details for the purpose of circumventing the Platform; or
- Manipulate bookings, deposits, or fees to avoid applicable charges or commissions.
Circumvention undermines Trust & Safety protections, defeats our ability to help resolve disputes, and is a serious violation that may result in removal.
9. Prohibited Conduct (Summary)
The following are prohibited on or in connection with the Platform. This list illustrates, but does not limit, conduct that violates these Standards:
- Any illegal activity, or any service outside the non-medical scope permitted on the Platform;
- Sexual solicitation, sexual harassment, or any non-consensual conduct;
- Discrimination, harassment, threats, intimidation, or violence;
- Dishonesty, fraud, impersonation, false credentials, or fake or incentivized reviews;
- Off-Platform circumvention of bookings or payments;
- Unsafe or unhygienic practices, or performing Services while impaired;
- Sharing, recording, or publishing another person's private information or images without consent;
- Abusive, defamatory, hateful, obscene, or harassing communications or Content;
- Weapons, illegal drugs, or unsafe conditions at a service location;
- Interfering with, misusing, scraping, or attempting to compromise the Platform; and
- Evading enforcement, including by creating new accounts after removal.
10. Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness conduct that violates these Standards, please tell us. You can:
- Report through the Platform using in-app reporting or messaging tools where available;
- Email our Trust & Safety team at [trust@lumora.luxe]; or
- Contact our concierge for help escalating a time-sensitive concern.
In an emergency, or if anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then notify us. Reports are reviewed as promptly as circumstances allow. We will handle reports with discretion, share information only as needed to investigate and resolve the matter or as required by law, and take reasonable steps to protect good-faith reporters from retaliation. Knowingly false reports are themselves a violation.
11. How We Enforce These Standards
We investigate reports and signals of possible violations in good faith and with proportion. Depending on the nature and severity of the conduct, our history with the User, and applicable law, we may take one or more of the following actions, with or without prior notice:
- A warning or request to correct behavior;
- Content removal (for example, of a review, listing, or message);
- Feature or booking restrictions;
- Temporary suspension of an account pending review;
- Permanent removal from the Platform and revocation of the invitation;
- Withholding or reversing payments where permitted and appropriate; and
- Referral to law enforcement or regulators, and cooperation with lawful requests, where warranted.
Serious violations — including threats or acts of violence, sexual misconduct, fraud, or conduct that endangers safety — may result in immediate removal. Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion to protect the community, and are independent of, and do not substitute for, the Professional's own legal and professional obligations.
12. Appeals
If your account is suspended or removed and you believe the decision was made in error, you may request a review by writing to [trust@lumora.luxe] within [NUMBER] days, explaining the circumstances and including any relevant information. We will consider timely, good-faith appeals and respond as reasonably practicable. Some decisions — particularly those involving safety, unlawful conduct, or repeat violations — may be final. Nothing in this Section limits the Company's rights under the Terms of Service.
13. Changes to These Standards
We may update these Standards from time to time to keep pace with our community, our services, and the law. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means, including posting the revised Standards with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
